The Partnership recognizes the connection between a strong arts economy and the development of the creative class as an economic engine for growth.
Florida Downtown Association – The Partnership organized other downtown leaders in Delray Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm to pool resources to support capacity building for arts organizations across our state, along with other legislative priorities.
Tallahassee Meetings – Our board leadership meets with members of the Pinellas County delegation and other legislative leaders to advocate for art funding and thoughtful economic development strategies. Meetings were held during and following the 2019 legislative session. The Partnership invests in full-time lobbying assistance on a regional and state level to support our continued growth.
Arts Strategy – Facilitate the development of a comprehensive arts strategy for St. Pete’s urban center that identifies stakeholders, collaborative opportunities, arts organization’s critical needs, dedicated funding, lessons learned from other communities and the eventual creation of a cultural trust.
